Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Directional Drill Operators for projects located in and around Canyon, TX . This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of up to $26/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Operate horizontal directional drills according to blueprints and job specifications
Use locating equipment to identify existing utilities
Operate Hydro Vac equipment, backhoes, trenchers, mini excavators, boom trucks, and more
Perform underground conduit installations and expose utilities using hand tools
Conduct routine maintenance on directional drilling equipment (e.g., vice jaw changes, sub saver installation)
Perform construction site cleanup and assist the crew with other duties
Haul equipment to and from job sites using a truck and trailer
Ensure accurate documentation for materials, equipment use, and time
Deliver materials and perform general labor as needed
Identify and report equipment deficiencies and ensure “one call” tickets are current
Train other team members when assigned
Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor equipment maintenance
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Experience with utility construction and underground locating equipment is preferred
Willingness to travel throughout Amarillo and nearby regions
Must adhere to company procedures, safety standards, and state regulations
Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
