Our platform is an essential piece of the daily work for machine learning engineers, from academic research institutions like FAIR and UC Berkeley to massive enterprise teams including iRobot, OpenAI, Toyota Research Institute, Samsung, NVIDIA, Salesforce, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Lyft, and more.

As a software engineer on the Engineering Productivity team, youll build and maintain the key tools and systems that the engineering team uses to build Weights & Biases. Youll partner closely with engineers around the organization to understand our various development workflows and brainstorm improvements. You know what a great developer experience looks like, and wont stop until things actually work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research with engineers and develop the roadmap for internal tools and systems.
• Improve build safety and speed.
• Ensure the reliability and availability of our Continuous Integration and build pipelines.
• Build solutions for local and remote development.
• Design and implement new tools for production and development deployments.
• Leverage GenAI tools to enhance the engineering workflow.

What we're looking for (Requirements)

• A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience / qualification.
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 1 year of experience building tools for developers.
• Deep knowledge of build systems.
• Strong empathy for developers with a keen interest in understanding and addressing their challenges.
• A desire to be self-driven and find the path to greatest impact.
• Strong interest in new technologies and a passion for staying abreast of the latest advancements in developer tools.
• Experience with Javascript, Golang, and GitHub.
