At X-Rite Pantone, you’ll deftly blend the art and science of color to help customers inspire, select, measure, formulate, communicate and match color so that users get color right the first time, every time. The Applications Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical expertise, enabling customer success through demos, training, troubleshooting, and thought leadership across North America. This role directly impacts both customer experience and product adoption, while driving innovation in color science applications. The position will be remote. In this role, a typical day will look like: Supporting the sales team with demos and trials on challenging applications. Serving as the technical champion for new product launches and the existing suite of products and solutions. Performing advanced troubleshooting for customers across key verticals. Delivering direct training (onsite or remote), and leading the development of training and support tools leveraging new technologies. Collaborating closely with Engineering to influence product research and development with specialized expertise. Representing X-Rite at trade shows, industry conferences, and training seminars to enhance the company’s technical presence. Traveling approximately 70% of the time across North America. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college preferred. Six to ten years of experience applying color quality mechanisms to color-sensitive manufacturing industries. Familiarity with instruments and software like those X-Rite manufactures strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to independently plan and execute projects as a technical leader. Proficiency with PC applications and Macintosh OS for certain industry applications.
